TimeshareDonations.org is a unique service that allows you to select from a number of qualified non-profit organizations to receive the net proceeds from the donation of your timeshare property.

Timeshare properties have historically been difficult to donate, due to the time and effort involved in transferring the ownership and subsequently raising funds, thus preventing many charity organizations from accepting them as donations. We have overcome that obstacle by utilizing the expertise gained over the past several years in accepting timeshare donations for Real Estate with Causes and Giving Center.

As a donor you will be able to select from the qualified non-profit organizations that have joined the Timeshare Donations network. Your selected organization will receive the net proceeds from the funds raised from your timeshare donation.

As a participating non-profit organization, you have the opportunity to share in the expanding market for timeshares without the necessity to gain expertise in the transfer process or handle the transaction yourself.

  • I AM CONSIDERING DONATING MY TIMESHARE PROPERTY. WHAT KIND OF PROPERTIES DO YOU ACCEPT?
    We accept properties that are owned free and clear and where the maintenance fees are not past due. We accept both deeded and right-to-use timeshares as well as accumulated points.
  • HOW LONG DOES THE DONATION PROCESS TAKE?
    The normal timeframe to complete the transfer of ownership is normally 2-4 weeks. *Rush service is available for those of you that need to donate fast.
  • WHAT COSTS CAN I EXPECT TO PAY DURING THE DONATION PROCESS?
    Generally, the donor is responsible for all of the regular costs associated with the property until the acquisition of the property by us. This may include, but not be limited to all taxes, bills, and maintenance fees. There are of course exceptions to this. Every donation is considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • WHO HANDLES THE PAPERWORK?
    We take care of the transfer of the ownership and provide you with all needed paperwork. Required quit claim deeds and other documents.
  • WILL I GET A TAX RECEIPT TO SUPPORT MY DONATION?
    Yes! Upon the completion of the transfer, you will receive a tax receipt letter to support your tax deductible donation.
  • HOW CAN I DETERMINE HOW MUCH OF A TAX DEDUCTION I CAN TAKE FOR MY TIMESHARE DONATION?
    As with most non-cash donated items the IRS allows you to deduct up to $5,000 fair market value without requiring a certified appraisal. Over $5,000 the taxpayer must provide a certified appraisal. The donor is responsible for determining the fair market value for their donation, it is suggested that you utilize websites such as the TRI Timeshare bluebook to appropriately value your unit.
